Right now we really need a new particle accelerator in the UK called an FEL, they are used in chemical, biology and medical reserach. I might build that.

Also we really need reserach into whats the best isotope to use in radiotherapy for treating cancer, we need a machine that can deliver different isotopes to do tests. Then we need to build a machine that delivers that isotope to patients.

Outside of my reserach, we really need investment in Fusion. It would be almost limitless energy, the end of global warming and would provide cheap electricty to the develping world. Some of the other engineers here work on that, its pretty cool.

I would definitely fund the next generation of fusion reactors so we could start designing fusion power plants. Running a fusion reactor as an experiment is really expensive because they use a lot of energy but don’t produce any (yet). I would also love to do more STEM outreach and do more to help others!
