The Energy Zone student winner is…

Julien, congratulations!

During every event we ask the engineers and moderators to nominate their top student — one who’s made the most of the event, shown enthusiasm and asked some really great questions.

Julien from Trinity C of E High School was nominated by the engineers for their “really interesting questions and enthusiasm”. They demonstrated this in their question in ASK, which read: “Hey there guys, I am looking to be an engineer in the future however, I am not entirely sure what sector would best suit me. What do you all personally think is the best area of engineering to work in?

As the student winner, Julien will receive a certificate and a gift voucher.

Well done to Julien, and to everyone who took part. There were so many interesting questions, and comments, but there could only be one winner in each zone. Continue reading

Thank you from your winner – Leah

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for voting for me! I’m so happy to have won the Energy Zone and I can’t wait to start designing my outreach kits – I have already contacted several hospitals to find out whether they’d be interested in getting involved! I have had an amazing time taking part in I’m an Engineer and have been genuinely inspired, by both the students and my fellow engineers. I can’t wait to get back to work and to take part in JET’s biggest experimental campaign yet!

Thank you to all the students for taking the time to be involved. I have loved the experience. You guys have really encouraged me to push forward with my career and to carry on dreaming big! I wish you all the best of luck in your own careers, be that engineer, dancer, or theatre technician! Keep asking questions (until everyone you know is completely fed up!) and never stop learning…

Love, Leah Continue reading
