What I love about engineering is that it’s all about improving the way we do things, be it driving a car, walking on a pedestrian crossing, going to space or pretty much any activity you can think of.

I find it interesting how many different solutions you can come up with to the same problem and then how you go about deciding which is the best solution to go with.

Not directly related to my day job but I love my electric car (a Renault Zoe) so I like reading stories and watching YouTube videos about electric vehicles and battery technology e.g. using your (electric) car battery to power your house and charging your car as you drive. Amazing stuff!

I love problem solving, thats what engineering is all about. Finding things in the real workd and finding better ways of doing it to make our lives easier. Its very exciting when you come up with an innovative solution to a problem,
If you mean which discipline, then I love electronic, electrical, mechanical and nuclear. A real engineer tends to be trained in one but then does all of the others in their job. Its the way the world is going, electronic control of mechanical systems with electrical motors. Kind of everything except Chemical and Civil.

i love learning how things work and why something works the way it does.

everything is constrained by the same rules, but how you use those rules is amazing.
