Oooooooh such a big question…. I’ll split it into small things that you can do in your own life, and big things you can do!
So the one thing you can do is to cut down on things which are single-use. This means things that you take home and immediately throw in the bin (or recycling bin). These things usually take lots of water and energy to make, and then they sit around at landfills for aaaaages. You could also try cycling or walking rather than driving to places (this also saves lots of petrol money!). One other thing you could try is eating a little less meat – farming animals isn’t very good for the environment, maybe you could try Meat-Free Mondays! 🙂
As for big things, you could start talking to your school about changes they could make! Maybe they could try Meat-Free Mondays too. Perhaps your school could encourage everyone to cycle or start reducing waste? You could even trying emailing your local MP to tell them you’re worried about the planet and ask for their support!
To save the planet we will have to get everyone involved – and hopefully our clean fusion power stations will help in the future 🙂
